I was reading the blurb on the frontpage of vBSEO and clicked-thru on the CruiseLineForums story... but I didn't see any evidence of vbSEO. Did they remove it, and if so, why?
EDIT: Rex removed vBSEO, and posted his rationale on his blog.

We are in another high period of flux at Google. As you have probably read there are issues with the GoDaddy update and the supplemental index. Many websites (forums and otherwise) are reporting significant changes in traffic. This is not related to vBSEO.
This is the nature of SEO - always changing, especially when it comes to the team at Google. They always keep us on the edge of our seat.
However, vBSEO continues to be a very highly regarded plugin for our customers. While each forum is different, the majority of our users report great results.
Rex has an excellent forum and we wish him the best of luck. Perhaps, he might even vBSEO-enable again!
FYI Regarding performance. Earlier versions of vBSEO did result in some reports of performance impact. However, we always focus on performance as much or more than building our core feature set.
Our latest version of 2.4.0 and (soon to be released 2.4.1) have eliminated most performance issues. In fact, we have some very large and active forums happily running vBSEO without issue. More importantly, our team has experience resolving any performance issues you might encounter - and can work with you to properly configure your settings. A small tweak is all that is typically required.
vBSEO is fast! Just ask some of our racing forum admins.Kidding.

Great reply, Joe. I am very happy with the results from vBSEO -- I mainly mentioned this because CruiseLineForums is still featured on your front page.
What Juan has said is exactly what I have believed for a while now about Google. I want to stick with some consistency. With Google acting up the thing to do is wait until Google is sorted out. I believe this is starting to happen, atleast for me it is. I finally got a lot of my new urls indexed.
That was Joe but it's ok, I'm honored to be mistaken for a genius anyways![]()
