My forums situation, need some input please

Hello well currently my forum is Fitness Community - Talk Fitness and it is a fitness forum, but I have been talking with some friends, etc... and I want to move it over to a "Bodybuilding Forum" specifically. It's been a year since Talk Fitness has been up and it really has NO active members at all. So it wouldn't be a harm to move it over to a bodybuilding forum and therefore a new domain.

Would this be a okay thing to do? I know we'll probably lose some incoming traffic from links, etc..., but the forum isn't all that big anyways so I don't think it's would matter. We're looking at moving it to www.vastbodybuilding.com, we also have www.vastbb.com .

Which domain should we move it to? the VastBodybuilding.com or VastBB.com???
If we had it to vastbodybuilding.com we could just forward vastbb.com to vastbodybuilding.com and viceversa if we had vastbb.com as the main domain, what would be better for SEO, etc...

Thanks in advance.

I'd go with VastBodyBuilding.com it has your keywords in it which can't hurt.

Then i'd park/redirect/whatever vastbb and the talkfitness domain to point there as well.

I prob'ly already answered this well enough here: My forums situation, need some input please - vBulletin Community Forum But I do want to add to the above. If you do something like I suggested at vB.com, which is to turn your TalkFitness.org into a blog, you could also take the opportunity to write entries that mention some of your forum posts, linking to them, and thereby getting some trackbacks. You can also answer some of your forum posts by linking to an article or comments you made on your blog. Back and forth and I am sure it would help both sites.

R'gards,

Jim
