Moving Forum One Level Up

I'm looking at my site and I'm noticing my portal (html main pages) are useless to me. I'd like to move my forum up one level (from AspieMania to http://aspiemania.us)

Is there a way I can do this without messing stuff up? (like the database etc.)

Thanks,
Andy...

What I do in this case is I go into my vboptions and change my forum URL from http://mysite.com/forum to http://mysite.com and then I just highlight all files/folders in the forum directory and move into the parent folder. Take note that if you have the attachments and avatars, etc in a file system, be sure to update their paths as well. Then I would add a rewrite rule in the forum folder to foreward all links to the higher level.
