| Member permissions question
Is there an add on or a way of setting a forum to only be accessible after x amount of posts? IE reach ten posts and you have access to certain forums without having to manually change their user group. I have just purchased a web site purely for the content, which I intend to offer to my forum members as an incentive to try and get them posting. |

the best way to do this is to use 'graduation' groups. ie, set the forum to only viewable by group2. group 1 is default, and when they hit 10 posts, they get moved to group 2. this is built into vb usergroups. keep in mind, you will be blocking google from this content too. |

So its a case of removing the sections from the sitemap. Hopefully the forum titles Will get picked up by google. Spent a whole $25 on a language web site from ebay. I'm now offering those courses to forum members as a promotion to get people posting. TBH the courses are not all that. The web site cost less to buy than people can pay for all six courses I'm reinvesting your whisky money into the forums But it might be the gimmick needed to breath some life into the place |
