You just posted it at midnight, on a Saturday night. Give it some time.

If you're looking for SEO help, T2DMan here on the site does vBulletin SEO optimization on a contract basis. You can try contacting him.

vBSEO is only one part of SEO optimization for vBulletin. There are several other things you need to do.

    See T2DMan's articles here: http://forum.time2dine.co.nz/seo-vbu...-5-a-2460.html

Hello Cky, I am having similar issues. I have gone out on a tangent and purchased alot of software, trying to make my site inviting to people and encouraging them to register on my forums. The problem really is that people do not see much activity when they go on at present time.

Even if there are 30 posts, or 3000 posts, it doesn't matter: If there is 1 or 2 guests viewing the page at a given time people look somewhere else...

My site is non-commercial using commercial level solutions, but not much activity...

While SEO has helped boost hits back to what they were when I was using a free solution, I have found that most people do not want the hassle of posting on my site..

"Is it critically grotesque?" "Is there something wrong with it?" Honestly, wish I knew!

I have taken many suggestions to raise exposure to the site - like using Adwords for relevant terms, joining link exchange... It doesnt cost much to bring visitors to the site. Keeping them there seems a bigger issue. Building a community certainly is difficult.

If you are wondering the site is Windows Vista Forums

Guys, vBSEO.com is a place to discuss SEOing your vB, not to look for Launch Teams.

Much better places would be 301 Moved Permanently or Best-Board - Powered by vBulletin , or any site dedicated to the topic of Forum/Community Administration. You could even google for it.

    Indeed it is.

I'm suggesting places that are actually geared towards this type of thing, and far more likely to help you.

    MikeF:

Have you tried press releases - or posting relevant info into forums with similar topics to drag some traffic back to your site?

People like to make fun of Windows - maybe some little cartoons, drawings, or Flash animations to get their attention before they drift.

Launch a cool contest with a great giveaway perhaps?

Just brainstorming - all you forum marketing gurus feel free to jump in!

I wouldnt suggest that. Sounds quite spammy.

Also, referral contests tend to generate spam in and of themselves.

Here is my article on Site Promotion. Basically, the premise is to be helpful and post informative things on other communities. Have your URL in your signature. Others will see your comments and want to visit your forums.

Once you have them there, content is king.

No - I'd be more creative with the contests. Try to do something that would engage the users and encourgage them to participate in your forums.

But - Kall is correct. Be helpful and informative and you'll draw a following.
