Looking for good classifieds program for vbulletin

I am currently looking at vbclassifieds. Anybody here using this or another program?
Which one would you recommend and why?

I'm currently using BosClassifieds (I hope there's not a problem for the link to their site). I'm really happy with the vbulletin integration. It runs apart not directly into the same vbulltin forums, but you can have the same username on both systems.

Also, they have a good support.

On the classifieds page, please see the links on the left column (the 6 link) says: Registro (Register) and you will see that the link will open the forum Registration page so, if you register from the classifieds or for the forum, you will be able to use the same username and password on both systems.

I'm bumping this old thread because I need a classified for vb just now.The problem w/ vbclassified is that the registrations are closed and I think they are not providing support, not sure if they are even selling the product anymore.

I have a Forum (or subforum should i say?) dedicated to clasiffieds but i'm using the forum itself, I'm willing to create a tag for the classifieds instead of having them on a forum but I will like a classified software, mod, pluggin that won't required registration, meaning people just post their classifieds AND pictures etc but they don't have to register if they don't want to, anyways is not that they want to participated on your site, if so is the case the option to register is there.

Is there a classified product w/ vb integration out there?.

I haven't found almost any product like that aside from Photo something but is not cheap and I see it more as a great Gallery software than a Classifieds one although it can be use w/o any problem, but again, is sort of expensive for what I need.

I recently changed from VbClassifieds to photopost classifieds because of the problems you mentioned above

I believe you can set the classifieds for non members to be able to post. Limit it to registered members to be able to add pictures etc

To get feeds showing on your forums, just set up rss feeds.

Sad that VBC decided to screw his customers. Anyway, Glad to see you here, I was looking to try and find you, Unfortunatly, I am forced to use VBC for now, but will move to your solution asap.

These companies really make me sad. Thevbgeek is another site that is probably going to be shut down but the irritating thing is they don't even hesitate to inform their customers abour any single decision they take. Tons of customer request information within this thread but no response has been supplied.

I here you Mert, I am sure each of these products in its own right are pretty decent. VBC was IMO the best solution out there. What bothers me the most about things like this is as you said, the lack of information or in the case of VBC integrity of the author. I can understand hardship or personal matters, many of these authers are single person companies writing code in spare time. It is sad indeed, that so many users are now out the few bucks they are, customer support as well as updates. And the consumer has no legal paths to pursue there money back. In the case of VBC, I believe he kept the site open long enough until his last sold license expired. then he shut it down limiting his obligation

Hi JWL, good to see an old face from there here as well mate.
Ken IMO had a good product and loyal customers for a long time.
Both you and me were singing his praises for a good year from memory and living on false promises of the return.
Its a shame that there is no import script for VB Classifieds to Photpost classifieds.
Believe me, the work is worth doing though.
I had the choice, ask people to re list or just ahead and do it all for them.
By doing it that way, you learn how it all works for any questions people might ask later.
Total nightmare job, but well worth the change over. Lets just say after VB Classifieds, you wont be disappointed mate
Just need to kiss and make up with google again to get off the latest slapped wrist I'm on for using a free add on that changed languages, if you know what I mean. Down about 800 unique a day at present because of that one. But, if we dont try, we never learn by our own mistakes or Brian on here dont get to laugh at mine

Mert as for VBGeek, I was looking at what will and will not be carried over when I change to VB4 and with the CMS, I dont think I will bother, just bung any articles in the CMS section and be done with.
Looking at when Morgan was last on there giving support, Im gald that decision was made.
One less add on to mess about with when upgrading. Its annoying as hell when we spend our money on these add on´s get a year or two of good products and then find they disappear with no trace.

I think people had tried buying VbClassifieds which makes it even more annoying for the client base.

Actually i can understand their decisions of closing or not porting their modification to vBulletin 4 however they should at least supply their customers importers from old products to new products especially for a product like Gars. My site depends on Gars a lot and i can't upgrade to vB4 without a proper importer. Once developement speed slows down for the companies i work at , i may have to port gars to vB4 .

I have been looking for a while now but haven't been able to find a good solution. Photopost is ok but a bit expensive for the features you get. microClassifieds seems ok but seems to have its problems.

I am looking for a classifieds system for a global car forum with customizable fields so I can specify fields for year, model (dropdown), miles, price, continent, country, city and details. Photopost doesn't allow for custom fields as far as I can see. These fields need to be searchable.

Is there anything like this available?
