Klitschko TKO Tubbs by Round 5. Possible towel from the corner. He'll start slow for rounds 1 & 2 working only the jab. By round 3 he'll mix in some right hands. By round 4 enough of those rights will have landed for Tony to call it a day.

Tony will start out nervous but feigning confidence by coming at him with combos and a few power shots that probably won't connect well and won't be enough to seriously hurt him. By the time he gets hit with the 3rd stiff jab, he'll be second guessing himself. By round 4 he'll be hoping his corner throws in the towel, since his competitive spirit will have been broken. He'll realize he's getting a good payday for a tune up fight for the bigger man, and he'll decide he's not in there to get his head taken off over 12 rounds.

The reach and power of Mr. Ironfist will be too much for the journeyman fighter.

So: Kitschko by TKO Round 5

My prediction: 12 rounds full, no knock-downs.

Klitschko wins by decision on a small margin.

I'm trying to watch the replay now, but of course, the channel keeps coming and going. Choice Cable of Puerto Rico has a horrible "quality of service" record.

From what I've seen, it's pretty disappointing that the hopes of the heavyweight division lie with this man!

I lost cable completely from Choice Cable. So I watched a sporadically available 8 rounds. Of course, I did not make it to the 11th round knockout!

I'd say that Thompson was (too) tired to make it at the end..

Phil:

Klitschko looks fantastic walking to the ring, but he's too mechanical. He'll never be able to move like some of the great American boxers. I would not be surprised if someone like Corrie Sanders came out of retirement and completely dominated him again.

Most likely scenario is that Samuel Peter will take him out the next time they meet (2009 or 2010).

I think everyone has been disappointed in Klitschko for a long time. He's good. He'll never be great. His brother was way more exciting to watch in the Ring. Vitali versus Lennox Lewis was a fun (if short) fight to watch.
