ipads, crap for the internet

I got a free ipad after spending 2k yesterday.

Its now in the bin.

I know Im an old git and keeping up with the youngsters and their gimmicks is hard at times

I even took a picture of me using the internet with the damn thing, before I decided to see a specialist





Behind the eye pad, is an eye with a new plastic lens fitted and a lens with cataract removed
20 minutes under the knife while fully conscious and no need to wear glasses, apart from reading and even that might change once both eyes have been operated on

eye surgery scares me! my buddy literally 'poked his eye out' and he's been in and out of surgeries and in pain for the past 4 years.

Health is an important fact, not only for us but also for other people and devices we intereact. So take care yourself. I use special glass blocks xray when i use computer or ipad for this reason. After some age all people need cataract surgery.

The type of cataract I have, are fast growing and from what the knife mechanic said, they mainly affect the young.
Quite chuffed when I got told that bit about affecting the young
The cataracts that affect those in their senior years grow at the front of the eye
The type I have, grow at the back of the eye
I have had my eyes tested every year for the last four years, each time new glasses needed
Just over a year ago, the opticians noticed I had cataracts. My eyesight was crap at the time
New glasses prescribed, they said they would help a bit.
With in six months, I was no longer able to read letters and news papers
Laptop screens and netbooks, unless they hook up to my big screen, I could not use them
I have three laptops and a netbook
Then they seemed to get worse very quickly, to the extent I was almost blind
That picture was taken yesterday.
The operation was 8pm the night before
The patch came off at 6pm the following day and I can now see long distance without any problem
Im still looking around in sheer wonder at whats been missed and not seen for so long
Even motorway signs were being greeted with sounds of almost ecstasy, as I was able to see and read them on the way home from yesterdays visit to the hospital. Very sad indeed

The eye drops you need after dont taste nice.
Put the things in your eye and wait for the taste at the back of your throat

The causes, seem to be related to UV light, radiation and trauma
There has never been any proof, from what I have managed to find, that computer screens cause them
But, you find a lot of people that use computers on a regular basis suffer with the damn things
