ie8 beta1 released

Internet Explorer 8 Readiness Toolkit

Before you install, make a restore point. IT might not be easy to un-install and go back to ie7. I personally haven't used it.

firefox 3b3 killed firefox.

FF 2.0 killed it for me, but 3.0 will be the end of it

it's actually looking pretty good.

out of the box, it's going to be standards-based, just like firefox.
but its also said it will support a custom meta tag to use ie7's rendering engine...

Please let us know how it is, besides the bug's since it's a beta version. I'd rather install the final then play with each setting for awhile.

It looks good. Page loading times are faster but of course it has weird rendering problems which i hope will be fixed within the next version.

Google Toolbar keeps crashing Ie8 for me, may want to uninstall/disable it if you've got it installed!
