I like how you guys did the blog forum here at vbseo. Did you do that using rss feeds in VB or is this a hack? And if so did you get it at vBulletin.org

I am trying to do the same thing and was going to use the RSS feeds functionality but can't figure out how to just get part of the blog with the ...

Instead it will pull the entire blog into the thread. I was looking for a mod all day but can't find one. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be great!

Hello,

yes, you just create a new RSS feed in vBulletin admincp for that, with Blogs feed link (in our case it's vBulletin SEO Forums - Blogs )

Thanks for the reply. I guess my question was how do you truncate it in the thread, but after pulling up your blog feed link you posted it shows it as truncated in FF. Weird thing is you pull the same link in IE 7 it gives the full blogs in the feed.

I am going to set it up then run some tests and see which it pull in. I want to get the way you guys have with just the title of the blog as the thread and the truncated body of the blog with the link. I am assuming you used the tag for the body as:

{rss:content:encoded}

If not just let me know. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks Oleg.

I actually don't have any problem with My Blogs. It is very easy to get blogs displayed better then what vB planned. If you need asistance on it please send me a PM so i can explain better.
