Im hoping my description on there gives a decent explanation of the problem.
On google webmasters home for my forum, total yo yo effect on displaying indexed pages.
Hit refresh and it could be between 34k and 120k pages displayed as being indexed
On the lowest level, it shows 270,652
248,690 URLs in web index
Sods law they had two people report the same problem on the same day and I missed the first person reporting it
Google need the vbseo gang over there to put things right
