They've reworded their EULA since this post.

it now says:
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.
(removed: By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.)

Wow. I hope that was just a typo, i.e. something copy/pasted from another agreement they forgot to remove.

wow, that article sucks.

indexing is the totally wrong word. if anything, it's an 'auto-complete' like feature, saved onto your local machine, not google servers.

they keep saying https shouldn't be indexed. lol, why not? just because it's a secure transaction connection doesn't necessarily mean the content shouldn't be indexed.

a simple search for https leads plenty of search results
https - Google Search


if anything, chrome is a good example as to why you should always LOCK your home machine when you go away from it, and require a windows password that isn't a post-it on your monitor.
