Like I said before, pick something that interests you or it really wont work as you will get bored of it.

Check out some trade magazines. Look for some new technology that made be commercialized some time in the next year. The more technical the better. Start developing the content now, and when it hits the market, you'll get a nice portion of the search traffic for related terms.
