    forumlogr.com Copyright Issues

Anyone want to get going on a class action lawsuit against forumlogr.com?

I've noticed that they started stealing my threads a couple of days ago. They rank above me too for some long tail key word searches. I'm going to be sending them a cease and desist letter asap, but I urge the rest of you to make sure your content isn't getting stolen.

They seem to have a simple opt-out...

How can I remove my forum from your site?

Thanks. It's not good enough for me though. Imagine if 10,000 of these sites popped up...would you spend the time to opt out of each one?

There's already a bunch. Boardreader, etc etc.

It's just too easy to CURL or file_get_contents() a website now-a-days that there's simply little stopping it.

Google or other SEs protect itself on lawsuit by saying "People can any time remove their content by robots.txt" or they offer "opt out." What a pity, i dont think a lawsuit can handle this problem. They seem to win nearly all case up to know under fair use policy. It's a core argument area. I knew also in France google lost a case for taking news from another site.

The main idea for a search engine is i get whatever untill i read a stop. You place your content on web and any search engine can have it under "fair use" untill you block it. I can still recommend you an interesting solution. Recently a Cloudflare protected host released.. cloudflare service can control the visitors coming to you. If it's a thread or bad bot it's blocked. As far as i can see they only let crawl 5 basic and big Search engines. Rest can be thrown a thread category. If you check your thread panel in cloudflare you simply touch block button for such a spider and it'll never index you from the same ip. It'll cover new bots or pretending bots. Cloudflare can catch many threads. you can check their site cloudflare.com
