    Form give away

Hi everyone. Well my site is going to be up for 1 year soon and we will be having a couple of contests and giving away 1 prize a week for 10 weeks. I was wondering what kind of form do you have people sign to say that they actually received the gift so that you are able to write it off.
It may be best to not listen to anything I say for advice. :spin:

Interesting question. If you get an answer anywhere else, please let us know.

I would guess that you should be able to make the claim for tax purposes with just the receipts. Only in the event of an audit would you likely need anything more than that.

I wanted to check here first but will dig around some more. I just want to be prepared in case I do get audited in the future which I hope will never happen.

i personally don't give anything away other than cash (via paypal) so i have a hard receipt with the subject line on it should the need arise for the record.

Thanks Brian. Now a new question arises, do you have them fill out any kind of form stating that they did indeed receive the item?

No, because i don't send anything other than cash it self, and thus the paypal receipt is good enough documention for tax purposes.
