It is happening on a lot of sites that pull in the RSS feeds from vB.com. When vB.com relaunched they changed their URL and, apparently, the vB 3.x Feed Manager logic interpreted them as new threads and ended up importing them all over again.

They said the downtime was not related to the forum upgrade and I believe them as I have ran many different upgrades from 3.8.4 to the new software. It was some of their many other coded things.
