We may have some surprises in 2009. We do have something very exciting in early development phase.

I'm sorry I cannot provide you with more details. This one is top secret at the moment.

well hopefully it is not in early development stage like vbseo 3.5 has been for the past 2 years. and I hope this is not taking away from development on 3.5 as I have been waiting and i'm sure others have been to.

I think the vast delay of 3.5 is due to vb changing their entire release plan.

when vbseo 3.5 was originally 'announced' as a future program coming out in the future, vb3,8 was never supposed to exist. Being an addon, vbseo sorta has it's hands tied to follow the source when they change their whole future plan like they did by releasing 3.7.3, .4 and point 5 and finally, 3.8.
Now that 3.8 is final, the vbseo version to support vb 3.8 will be realsed shortly.

Then, work can finish up on vbseo 3.5 to support both older and the newer 3.8 series.

You can't really blame them for something that is pretty much out of their hands

We do have to track vBulletin releases closely to ensure compatibility. As Brian stated, when they add something new we have to see if it's something subject to rewriting, general compatibility, etc. And we have to re-test everything.

We have a bit better sense of schedule now as 3.8 is out, and the first of the vBulletin 4 series is 3 to 6 months away.
