    Hi,

I've noticed that your footer archive links are being redirected to your forum homepage.

    See: http://www.talkdelaware.com/f23/nuff...july-7314.html

Have you removed the /archive/ folder?

I would recommend re-enabling your archive as with vBSEO, it works as an ideal sitemap for your forums - a second path to the deeper content.

if you owned my Delaware site, and got like 300k pageviews a month, how would YOU attempt to monetize/optimize the monetization of it?

right now you'll see a have a big adsense rectangle next to the welcome image, and a square in the first post in a thread. there are also a few little ads here and there if you poke around. there are NO ads (other then local advertisrers) for members. I am thinking of adding maybe a few adnse units for reg emmbers and keeping my VIP's ad free......

please, advice, thoughts, opinions, likes, dislikes, let me hear it

If you are removing your archive completely, you need to disable your footer archive links.

If you configure the archive handling in vBSEO to rewrite the thread URLs, the archive pages are another way to get links into your thread content.

Our sitemap generator is designed to notify the search engines of all content, but they do not indicate relative linking. That is, how does one page link to another on the page.

It comes down to personal preference. I, personally, prefer maintaining a lightweight template and removing the archive, while still using the sitemap generator plugin. But it is also a valid option to keep your rewritten archive pages in place, to let the search engines discover them directly while crawling the site in addition to knowing about them in the sitemap generator.

I'm recommended to open new thread with "re-critique" so we can discuss this a bit more
