    Talk Delaware Review

Hey all I was instructed to create a thread here to review my site.

    Delaware Online

Bunch of stuff in the "Stuff to do first" thread i already did, some stuff i think im a little confused on, i'll get a little more into detail when i get home from work.

One thing is in google webmaster tools my sitemap is erroring out i think cause of the .gz extension. how do i change that to just .zip?

The first suggestion i will give you is working on the Ajax tabbed menu at your homepage as the bits have original vbulletin urls ( showthread.php , member.php )

I will also modify the thread title modification you are using with vBSEO relevant replacement feature. You can get detailed information about RR setup at [How to] Setup Relevant Replacements with vBSEO

You may also consider removing forum title from showthread templates as explained at [How To] Remove Forum Title from Thread Pages for Long Tail Optimization / Increased Thread Title Relevancy

If you will use Relevant Replacements you should remove forum description from your templates as even now you have duplicate information

    Code:
The Lounge Anything off-topic or that doesn't have a section can be posted here, go for it.

    TalkDelaware.com
    Google
    Go to Page...

    The Lounge
Anything off-topic or that doesn't have a section can be posted here, go for it.

You should add rel="nofollow" for all unimportant urls such as register.php etc..

Regarding your sitemaps what is the error do you receive ?

Regarding the sitemap please chmod 777 downloads.dat file inside vbseo_sitemap/data folder. You shall also chmod 777 vbseo_sitemap/data folder.

You may want to check vBSEO Functions for Extensibility for integrating the ajax tabs.

removed the title, got the RR's in place, fixed the sitemap.

read the topic about fixing the urls in the ajax tabs and I'm lost :( little over my head in the coding dept.

anyone care to take a shot at showing me what needs to be done? I have attached the recent.php file which is the first (default) tab of the box

I got a PM from a team emmber here, i wrote back for clarification and haven't got a response....

    Hi,

I've noticed that your footer archive links are being redirected to your forum homepage.

    See: http://www.talkdelaware.com/f23/nuff...july-7314.html

Have you removed the /archive/ folder?

I would recommend re-enabling your archive as with vBSEO, it works as an ideal sitemap for your forums - a second path to the deeper content.
what steps do i need to take to fix this?

Well are you wanting to remove the archive, or to enable it? I am now lost.
