    review request: www.nepalhub.com

    Hi,

I started this site www.nepalhub.com 2 years ago. Purchasing vbseo is the only thing I have done till now in the name of seo.

If I go to my vidoes link, and search the title of the videos posted there, for most of the titles, I appear at the second spot , just below youtube. For some titles , i appear at the top and youtube at second. For most of the titles in the forum, I appear in the first page, given the titles are related to nepal, thanks to vbseo.

I have no idea where/how to start. I checked and I do not have any backlinks, any pr's or anything.

Please review my site, and tell me how to get started. I have this flash http://www.nepalhub.com/nepalhub.swf put in a few Nepali websites to attract users, which is working well. Would changing the .swf to .jpg banner and putting it in the other websites count as a backlink ?

Please point me in the right direction.

    Cheers,

Any link back to your site from another is a backlink, whether it's a text link or an image link.

With Flash, links inside the Flash are not helpful to you. However, if the Flash is successful in recruiting people to visit your site that's certainly a good idea to use for clickthrough marketing.

Your best forum are definitely your video forums as you said. The others are very generic. If you can find away to relate them to Nepal specifically you may do very well, given the precedent you've set with the Nepal video forums.

In general you might want to work with your template. It seems a little dull to me. Does it scream out and exemplify Nepal?

I really don't like that you've made the title of your site a big chain of keywords. I think you should put some effort into creating a real (human readable/pleasing) title, that includes some of your most important keywords. Save the string of keywords for your meta keywords section, and within your forum names, descriptions and content (i.e. thread titles, etc).

You should convert your welcome headers into an image to get rid of the general text that is available to guest users and search engines.

Check out our Relevant Replacements feature for potential use on your site. I think it could help you further optimize.

Please remember to login and setup our Homepage Alias feature in your vBSEO Control Panel. Your forum is also currently accessible via index.php. This should be automatically merged with your domain to maximize link consensus to your homepage.

Thanks for taking the time to view the site and for this review. I am going to make the changes suggested.

The flash has been very useful to get visitors and converting them to members. Though I do not plan to put a google adsense, I am planning to advertise my own products, like a travel-package to nepal, calling cards to nepal, art-work of nepal etc to the visitors. Kind of an internal advertisement model.

I used vbnews on the site for news, and i was able to appear in the top for 1-2 of the headlines posted. So i am going to use the vbnews for the news

I have prepared around 500 pages of articles related to nepal, which I want to put in the best way possible. Is there any recommended CMS or something for articles ?

We used vBAdvanced for our non-forum content pages, although I'm not a huge fan of it.
