I would use that fabric/texture background you have in your header for the site's background. Also add a touch of color (maybe sports car red) here and there...in your header as well as a in the forum graphics. Your subject matter is sports cars...they are flashy after all.

Perhaps reduce the number of forums till the number of posts dictate creating more. I use thread prefixes on my site to par back the number of forums without sacrificing the ability to categorize the content.
