You may want to check out your site in internet explorer version 6. The welcome header image loads to the left of the forum and screws up your formatting, instead of loading above the forums. Looks fine in Firefox and IE7. In my logs, around 30% of people still use the older version of IE exploder

your 468 ad in the forumdisplay is no good. google said ads like that can't be deceiving, and the arrow surely doesn't hurt. I had it up similar to that for about 3 days before google gave me a 24-hour notice.

Any particular reason why i see the 'locked' icon? looks like i can see all threads, except for in the Everything Else forum. It's a little deceptive, and deception is never good.

your left nav doesn't match your forums url's.

link: lowcarbeating.com/forums/47 takes me to: lowcarbeating.com/low-carb-diet-support/#challenge-yourself

the nav should match the forum for best purposes (eliminates the 301, for more natural indexing. If its moved permanently as 301 implies, it should be re-linked on the host .com)
"This forum is moderatored" new word? lol moderated works

    i'd re-order your fourms.

put Low Carb In the News
as the 2nd to last forum (above special interest). you want to focus more on YOUR content, not the news.

thanks for the heads up, jason. i do have a hunk of ie6 traffic, and just did the image yesterday, so hadn't discovered it yet. i'll fix it.

i didn't know that would get me in google-trouble, so i took it down immediately. thanks for info! better to hear it here than from google.

that i'm not sure about. i'm not trying to restrict the threadviews in most forums for guests; only no guest posting. and i'm definitely not trying to fool anybody. i'll have to review what's what on the icons to figure it out.

ahhh. it's autogenerated and i didn't pay much attention to it. i'll get that fixed up, too. thanks for pointing it out.

that's a good point. i will review my ordering. i've been tweaking some, and am trying to balance what my visitors seem most interested in vs. what makes logical sense. part of the reason that's fairly high up is because it's pretty widely read. and since those are usually links with discussions (with the exception of the newer, blog feeds forum i'm experimenting with), it is the board content as much as anything else.

haven't gotten to that yet either, but thanks for pointing it out.

thanks for the very helpful comments, folks! much appreciated.
