Needless to say I'm impressed with the traffic that VBSEO has brought in so far and definately seen a large change. My question is why am I so high up with Google but yet so extremely low with every other one, like there is no comparison.
Hmm, Can you explain more your question ? I can't completely understand your question.

Please take a look at www.cyberneticpunks.com and tell me if you feel anything else should be done?

We are going to be transferring our forums from 3.8.3 to vb 4.0 and I was curious if there are any suggestions in terms of doing this in a smooth way as to not affect my traffic flow to the site.

Im extremely concerned that the transition between the 2 forums is going to have a bad affect on google.

Hello as stated in one of my previous posts we made the move to 4.0 as of Sunday, I was hoping you could go over my forums again and suggest what tweaks or things needed to be changed, my homepage consists of Wordpress but you can find my forums at Cybernetic Punks Forums

I've run into something rather concerning as well, after the changed from 3.8 to 4.0 I had some extremely popular links that brought quite a bit of traffic to my site and was curious if their is any way to solve it, http://www.cyberneticpunks.com/proto...aft-2-sc2.html which leads to a 404 page. That page on the new 4.0 site is now located at Protoss Build Order | Strategy Guide | Learners Guide | Starcraft 2 | SC2 Is their anyway for google to fix this or am I just crap out of luck?

You can use an 301 redirect to redirect all links in protoss to forums/protoss/
About your upgrade here's so addition tips :

    Disable your archive
    Use vBSEO RR's
Replace default vB H1 with vBSEO RR's

You can create .htaccess in the old protoss folder with this content :

    Code:
    Options +FollowSymLinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.cyberneticpunks.com/forums/protoss/$1 [L,R=301]

Since I've upgraded to VB 4.0 and having vbseo 3.5.1 for the last 4 months has been nothing but a huge downward spiral in traffic. I've lost well over 99% of all traffic that was coming to the site prior to the change. Extremely disappointed. Absolute MASSIVE drop in google search traffic is stunning.

    hi,

fortunately I am using vb3.0 , but my suggestion is to upgrade your vbseo and vb to the latest version (3.5.2)& (4.0.7).

and monitor your traffic for a week. If you still had this issue try to open a ticket at the support section.

glad to see your problem solved.

    Good Luck.

If you've lost all of your traffic, check that you haven't been hacked. See our annoucement forum for security info on 3.5.2.
