    Forum.EasyWordPress.com - Comments needed!

    Hi everyone,

I have setup this forum a month plus.... looking for critique / comments in order to improve further.

This site targetted Wordpress Blogging topic and so far using vbulletin 3.6 version and vbSEO. Didn't do much modification or enhancement, except adding the toolbar image and adding the RSS icon on top. The vbSEO setting is the standard with most of the features turn on.

Looking for advise how to promote this forum site. I want to increase the number of members registered, as well as optimize it on the SEO. Yes, one more help from you guys.

I installed the vbSEO about 2 weeks after the vbulletin forum setup. The google came and indexed before I installed the vbSEO. Somehow, after installed the vbSEO, the old link get de-indexed and right now, only have 2 page get indexed:

    forum.easywordpress.com/faq.php AND
    forum.easywordpress.com/archive/index.php

Any idea to improve the indexing by Google. The forum is active and currently has average of 1-3 new members sign up, about to read 1000 posts but the site listing is not much.

Besides that, we also joined the Zoints Community already.

    Thanks so much.......

    Hi Steve,

Give Google some more time. They'll start indexing all your new post content.

I like most of the forum layout except the Paid Members Private Forum and Moderator Forum are empty and are a turn-off. There is no reason for a guest / unregistered visitor to see either forum so you may want to change the permissions on these.

Best of luck and hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments! I will start building the contents in both categories. It is just a barely 2 months old forum, we are working hard to build up more contents.

Btw, any idea on why my forum site is still not index by Google on the new url format? I check on site search, still not getting the any page index?

I need to ask for opinion for following settings in vbseo, see if will affects the listing on google.

    SEO Functions
    Printthread URLs
Add rel="nofollow" to the Printthread links? Previous turned off, just turned on and testing it now.

    Showpost URLs
Add rel="nofollow" to the Showpost links? Smart

    Internal rel="nofollow"s
Add rel="nofollow" to ALL Sorting Links YES
Add rel="nofollow" to ALL Dynamics Pages YES
Add rel="nofollow" to Links pointing TO Member Profiles FROM Postbit YES
Add rel="nofollow" to Links pointing TO Member Profiles FROM Forumhome NO

    External rel="nofollow"s

Add rel="nofollow" to ALL External URLs NO

This is a multiple sub-domain site with Blog & Directory installed. Both blog & directory sub-domain being indexed by Google very well.
High Traffic: Alexa rank 24,274 (3 months)

Thanks a lots for your help.

I like your theme, but a few suggestions

    1) Get a set of custom icons made for the forum. The default vBulletin ones are good in many cases, but having something that's unique to your site will give it a personalized feel.

    2) Create a custom favicon.ico for the same reasons as above.. You'll notice most popular sites have their own favicon.ico
