    Hi all

I would really appreciate some constructive critisism and advice on getting my site more more noticed, and getting more traffic.

Have renewed my licence and am running latest VBSEO.

Ive read and applied tweaks as listed in the "Do this first" post.

My site, is not an original site, mainly family and friends use it. But i really want to get more hits and registrations.

Im sure i have a lot of work to do here, and this is where i need your help.

    the site is: http://www.thehuntingground.co.uk

Thanks in advance, and please go easy

You have a very busy home page. I'd suggest hiding some of those vBA modules for guests (ie. search engines) to reduce the number of non-important links (stats module, arcade, chat room, etc.) on the page.
I'm using vbSEO for my precious metals forum.

    Thanks,

Ive disbaled some of the vba modules, as suggested.

Any other ideas to help get my site more "visible" in search engines?

    regards

I do not like the value of the content on your homepage.

I think your logo could use some work. At first I figured you were a hunting forum, but then I checked and discovered that your are a very generically themed forum.

I think you need to work on developing a niche focus, or adding some very unique sub-forums and content to differentiate you.

    Hi Joe,

    Thank you for your comments.

My site started life as a site mainly for family and friends, and as such, never really had a main theme ( which i now realise is my main obstacle)

Considering the site has been running for sometime now, do you feel it can be "revived"?

Also considering it is a generic forum, what sort of content should my home page contain?

My domain name came about because i was always " on the hunt " for fun stuff online, and as such, it became the hunting ground. ( again something i now know goes against the site ).

I have thought about starting from scratch, but the site holds lots of sentiment, and id really just like to improve on what i have.

Whilst i know i will never get 1000,s of hits, just to see some improovement would be great.

    I appreciate all comments

    regards
