    Critique request please

Have had vbseo installed since 2006, and i believe have followed the tips given in the sticky of this thread, but my sites not doing so good.

Its a generic forum ( i know, its hard without a niche ), but viewing stats for last month, and previous months in analytics, its not looking good:

Search sent 681 total visits via 72 keywords

    Advice greatly appreciated.

    Thank you marco,

I have now disabled all footer archive links
    Disabled vbulletin archive
Have adjusted Meta description and keywords ( though being a non niched forum, still unsure of my main keywords lol )
( working on Virtual Html )
Amended Vbseo sitemap generator to only include thread pages and forum display
    Have installed Vbseo Sig
Am working on new content for threads

Since i adjusted vbseo sitemap generator in vb options, should i re run the generator?

Prior to making these changes, would these of been the reason I am experiencing such low Hits from the search engines?

    regards

Yes you should remove all .gz files in data folder and re-generate your sitemap manually

Sorry to engage in this thread again, but didnt really want to open a new one.

Would it be possible to again check my site please, I really dont seem to be getting much traffic from google. No additional changes have been made, though i do note that in webmasters tools, im seeing 2927 Duplicate Meta descriptions, and 3770 short meta discriptions..

You're in a pretty tough niche to rank well. There's not many keywords besides 'arcade' or 'games' that people are going to search against. And in that niche, there's some big players, like yahoo games, etc.

    Thanks brian,

Ive now moved CSS to file system.

Regarding markup validation, im currently in process of "streamlining" a lot of my mods in anticipation of VB4. Im guessing that a lot of the current errors that are displayed would be due to modification Template changes onmy current skin? If I reverted all templates, would that be a more simple approach?

I wouldn't revert unless you have to. most are simple fixes html -> xhtml conversion (lower case, &amp; instead of &, non-self-closed single tags like <br /> etc)
