I think your welcome box is taking up too much vertical space. I could not quickly find the link to your forum.

Your Site Review - Stuff to Do First

Its the first link on the top on your right hand side under the welcome message in the navigation menu. I also have the logo linking to the forums. Well I reduced the welcome message size and added the banner at the footer.

Yes - the link was just not visible without scrolling with the large welcome box.

I think there is an issue with your logo image now. I see some spaces where it should be seamless with the template.

I had the skin designed by an individual so I will have to address that to him even though I don't see anything wrong with it. Is that only negative so far?

I think you are off to a good start, but may sure you review everything in the "stuff to do" link to see which parts are suitable for you.
