Sorry for the delayed reply, I reviewed your forum and here is my suggestions :

• Try to hide the chatbox only for guests.
• Try To replace vBSEO Relevant Replacements with built in vBulletin Heading tags : VB4 RR's?
• Try to Validate all of your style pages (Forumhome ,Forumdisplay , Showthread etc ) : [Invalid] Markup Validation of http://intotheapple.com/ - W3C Markup Validator
• Try to use a CDN service (like MaxCDN.com) using vbseo CDN feature.
• Try to remove Calendar and FAQ only for guests
• Try to include only Showthread / forumdisplay / blog pages into vBSEO sitemap
• Try to reduce the page load time of your forum, you can test it here : Webpagetest.com - Webpagetest and Luftentfeuchter Test, for example you can remove the background image and use a color instead of this , this will save you about 64kb.

What do you mean? nothing apart from showthread and forumdisplay (I don't have a blog) should be included into the sitemap?

I currently have included on my site map the following: show thread pages, forum display pages, poll results pages, CMS pages.

No, It will add H1 Tags to your forumdisplay and showthread pages which is so effective for seo, its true that VB4 have this options but this method is so much better.

Done for calendar, don't know how to achieve that for FAQ…

Try to edit header template and replace below line

<li><a rel="help" href="faq.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">

with this one :

<vb:if condition="$show['member']"><li><a rel="help" href="faq.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase help}</a></li></vb:if>

then try to edit navbar template , and replace this line :

<li><a rel="help" href="faq.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" accesskey="5">{vb:rawphrase faq}</a></li>

with this one :

and do the same for calendar or any other link/url which is not important for search engines and guests.

I think its clear, if you are using vBulletin CMS so just include CMS/Showthread/forumdisplay pages in sitemap,
(in vbseo sitemap settings set these items as yes and others (like tags etc) to no).

to be honest if I where you I will use a color or small repeated image as that background. I know it make your website so much more beautiful but here we are talking about SEO so if you decrease the page size of your website, it will have a great effect on your SEO.
