    Hello Joe,

My Apologies for my late reply but I have some problems in my connection due to the weather problems.

    • Yes, I now your header looks good but that's too big, If there is any member using 800×600 screen resolution he will see your header as his computer background
    • I never liked vbulletin default styles you can try one of vBSEO Styles they will also help you with search engines because the 2 styles is 100% CSS - XHTML Validate.
    • Replace your showposts pages with permalinks, Check this thread : [How To] Replace Showpost Links with Permalinks - Max Out Search Engine Crawling Efficiency
    • Move your CSS To File system : [How To] Move CSS to file system
    • vBSEO Sitemap generator settings : Include only showthreads and forumdisplay pages in your sitemap
    • 301 redirect : Redirect your site from www to non-www or from non-www to www because search engines may think your site with www is different than your site without it. [How to] Setup www.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com (www vs. non-www) - With .htaccess 301 redirects
    • Remove your forum title from threads title.
    • Setup your vBSEO RR's.
    • After setup your vBSEO RR's I'm recommended to use vbseo.com RR's Format.
    • Disable your vbulletin archive.
    • Are you use vBSEO Sig ?

P.S : vBSEO Signatures for vBulletin 3.x versions.

I did most of what you suggested.
the only thing i didnt change were the RR's

i had 2 sitemaps being submitted to google in the past, which probably wasnt good.
look at these results after i resubmitted my sitemaps, urls dropped way down, is this normal, will this hurt or help my rankings.

If you were including sections before and are no longer, a drop is expected.

This drop is good though right? i followed the instructions above which means i should have gotten rid of things i didnt need.
if i understanding this correctly, that means the quality of whats being found by the search engines will be better...
am i correct in thinking this?

Im not undertanding why my site isnt within the first 25 pages of google search, i followed the directions above. Im not putting in RR because they look bad, i did notice i had 2 sitemaps still submitted, would that hurt my results.

Im getting 3000 legitimate page view per day and 120 unique vistors. i know my site is doing better than almost all the ones listed before me.

    whats going on..????

You can't expect to be #1 over night. It takes time, back links, quality content, and vbseo.
Our script does the hard part.
Now, focus on content and getting links from other good sources back to your site. 1 good article on digg/etc can do wonders for your ranking.

when i click generate sitemap in vbseo control panel, vbseo generates my site map as it should. i submitted the web address that shows on my menu,
then like an idiot, i clicked on that, pulled another address off that page and submitted that,
they both give me the exact same results for in the google sitemap page where i look at results. its doubling everything up.

i have since changed it and only left the url that appears in the main menu by =your sitemap address.

Sitemap index have all other sitemaps that vBSEO has created it in your forum so when you submit the sitemap index that's mean you have submitted all other sitemaps. So don't submit any other sitemaps just submit the URL that's Brian posted it in his reply.

Im wondering how im not coming back, at least top 20 pages, in google for the word runners or running, im getting 2000 page views a day with a 0.6 percent bounce rate, average of 15 minutes per visit and 20 different pages looked at.

one of my keywords that comes back on top is "post" in the google stats page, but my other top words are running, runners and forum which is good. can you help me out.

im not understanding, a site i support called runningmoms.org comes back 3rd when I search runnnersrule.com
they linked to me once, how do they come back that high on a searh for my site.
    this is confusing me.

It is still very early for your site. You've been installed about 3 weeks from what i can tell. Things are likely moving around all the time at this stage. it will take a couple more weeks to settle in and start moving up.

During this time, focus on content. The more quality threads you have, the better off you will be in the long run.
