Chaos Forums

Biggest thing (for this site) at the moment is the severe lack of focus. I'm working with a friend to fix that at the moment. But what do you guys think of the theme? Kind of darkend up the vBSEO one :P

I actually like the color choices with black, gray, green, red. However, it is very dark. I think you could still maintain the dark theme while lightening the background for text content areas a lot.

I like how bold you made your welcome header area. I think you could keep the nice aesthetics but strengthen your hook at bit. Why should we procrastinate with you?

Your forums are pretty general topics right now. It could be a little difficult to draw traffic in the beginning, so do what you can to seed it with interesting content, and ensure that you moderate titles to keep them reflective of content. Every thread will help, particularly to get you started.

I don't like that you are using underscores as your keyword separator. You should definitely change this to dashes.

I like the non obtrusive ad layout. I hope it converts well for you.

Can I change new posts to dashes without loosing my old underscored URLs? (I can't believe I did that, I even asked before which was better and set it the wrong way. :( )

It will be 301 redirected for you. I think it's early enough into the process that you should bite the bullet and change them.

The exception would be if you are already seeming to rank well and generate a lot of traffic in which case you might not want to make the sacrifice.

The google ads you made that look like they are forums...are against the TOS.

CSS work is still needed for some of the borders.

IMO, the gradients for tcat and thead are...not pleasing to the eye.

Use some RR's to help out.

Nice rotating ad script I have something similar to that on my homepage but with small images.

In the vbseo options, you should remove the "last post" information to help with the C-2-C ratio.

Do the "cleanup code" feature as well.

Change your title to read what your focus is of the site like:
"Blah blah blah - Chaos Forums"

Hope this helps.
