I have now been using vbSEO since June '07 with possitive results. I'd like to build on that as well as reduce page load times.

Overall, i do like the theme of the site, only problem that I see right now is you should make the welcome message an image. We have a good tutorial for that available here at vbseo.

You should modify your templates to make your titles h1 tags. Perhaps you might consider incorporating this into our Relevant Replacements feature.

Thanks Joe, I've actually opened a ticket since I seem to have an issue with my H1/CSS. I will have a look into the Relevant Replacements to see what they do & how. Thanks again.

I did a quick search on the source of one of your thread pages and did not see the h1 tags in there. I might have missed it.

Relevant Replacements seem to be particularly effective at getting relevant text closer to the top of the document (occurring before some of the more messy table tags). Many users have reported that it helps improve the snippet that Google is using in the search results when these pages are indexed.

Of course it also impacts the keyword relevancy/density on the page, and gives you an opportunity to carefully include special emphasis tags if so desired (anything from bold tags to h1s, etc).

Thanks for your response, I'm going to try and implement RR tomorrow.

As for the H1's, I've now removed the code as it was giving just the standard formatting (i.e. huge relative to my forum's style), I've however included the code I've been trying to use in my ticket. Thanks for your help again.
