Alright I am at the point where Google is my last obsticle search engine wise.

I need some help. My site I am concerned the most with is Ford Mustang | Mustangevolution.com Mustang Forums

This is what blows my mind with Google: mustang forums - Google Search

My site is nowhere to be found. Now look what is number 9 (for me atleast) Ford Mustang Forums

    9. Ford Mustang Forums
Tech support, programming, web development, and internet marketing community. Forums to get free computer help and support.
    Ford Mustang Forums - 24k -
    THIS IS A JOKE

Now how the hell do you figure that? Why is Google Ranking that site so much higher when the only thing it has related to Ford Mustangs is A LINK TO A MUSTANG SITE

Why are sites ranking in the top 10 for my search term when they are NOT RELATED TO FORD MUSTANGS???

I am very tired of playing this stupid games with Google. I rank top 5 for the term Mustang in MSN and top 5 for the term Ford Mustang in Yahoo. I rank number 2 for Ford Mustang in MSN... yet Google can't even rank me top50 for Mustang Forums yet they put a damn site that's only relation to Mustang Forums is a link to a Mustang site as number 9.

What is it going to take for me to it my goals for: Ford Mustang, Mustang and Mustang Forums for Google? If only Mustang Forums for now.... I know my site deserves to be ranked above Daniweb! This is pathetic.

    More joke rankings:

Just a quick thought. Perhaps Google tries to bring in results for a particular keyword query, for *different contexts*. That is, not just the most relevant page for the term itself, but also taking different ways in which the term is applied into consideration, and making sure that there is a balance in the results.

Have you ever searched for a term where you have a good idea of what you are looking for, but the sites that come up are all talking about something in a different context?

In this case, perhaps it is best for each SERP to have results for a keyword in different contexts with the # of results in each category/context weighted based on how closely a word is tied to a particular category.

In the results you highlight, results on a Java site and Dani Web show the term Mustang in a tech context, because of the sites are on. But Mustang car sites dominate the results because the term is more closely associated with the Ford Mustang.

Now the DaniWeb result certainly does not deserve that high of a ranking, but distinguish pages like directory pages from original content pages is a complex task in itself.

Let's just hope they do better in the future. I think it's reasonable to expect that they will. Now it's just a waiting game.
