    when i renamed it with the dot, it disappears and i also lost my forum.
    the
    .htaccess became invisible and my host had to find it and rename back without the dot for my forum to re-appear.

    There must be a leading dot in filename. You can create file as htaccess.txt, upload it to your server and then rename to ".htaccess" using your FTP software.

    as soon as i put the (DOT) in front of the htaccess it turns invisible, if i try to rename on my computer it want let me.

    It is normal that it becomes invisible. Your sitemap is working fine now - http://www.forumcentral1.com/sitemap_index.xml.gz
