Yahoo Ping Failed

I applied the fix that gets the Google ping to work, but the Yahoo sitemap ping has failed consistently for a while now and I have no idea what the problem is.

Does anyone know why this happens? I am using version 1.7 (download it yesterday so should be the latest build if that matters).

Did you enter a valid Yahoo Application ID in the vBSEO Sitemap settings in AdminCP?

No I didn't. Is that something you get when you access their webmaster area or do you need to apply for one? I'll do some searching, thank you.

In the AdminCP, on that field, there's a link to get an application ID.

Thank you, all fixed and working now. That'll teach me to read the help files better.

I have added Yahoo Application ID, but still get Yahoo Ping failed on both vbseo and non vbseo powered vbulletin forums.

yeah, google pings are successful.
I am using vbseo sitemap generator downloaded and installed on forums 24 hours ago from vbseo.com

I checked your vbseo_sitemap/ footer message and it looks like you are running an older version. Please note that latest pre-release v1.7 is only available in downloads area: http://www.vbseo.com/downloads/

I have updated all my non-vbseo sites with 1.7 (downloaded 12 hours ago from vbseo.com) version of sitemap, I am getting Yahoo Ping Failed on every google sitemap generated.

Please open a support ticket with ftp access for troubleshooting.
