Why Wont Google Index All My Vbulletin URLS??

I have a vbulletin forum with vbseo installed. I have a site map installed and I use to submit thread/posts/members in this site map to google.

about 3 months ago I changed my site map to include only my showthread pages, removing the post and member pages. My site map now includes 75k different pages.

when I go to google.com and do site:MYSITE.com it only shows 20k pages in google and it has done for over 3 months now.

My question is, why isnt google indexing all 75k of my pages?? Is there something im doing wrong??

Search Engines will very rarely index all of your pages and the site: command is a very bad test to do, what does webmasters tools tell you in the sitemap area? How many indexed pages does it show there out of your 75k.

Remember that search engines are interested in quality and original content, so threads that have repetitive content or are mostly made up of images/movies and not much actual content are likely to rank much lower if at all.

Just aim to get as many decent, high quality content threads going and make sure new content goes up daily to keep the search engines interested.

If there are some important threads you find are not indexed, there are some things you can do like adding direct links to them from your homepage etc and cross linking to them from other high ranking threads.

All in all vBSEO does the best that it can to make your site as optimized as possible but you still need to have regular and quality content and patience.

Google will never index everything. Especially now with Caffiene in effect, older content is treated with lower priority, in an effort to keep fresher content at the top of the serps.
