Why Blog Submission is not working?

I installed vbSEO a couple of days ago and it should be live submitting my blogs via ping to Google etc.

Searching Google today I am unable to find any of my blog entries.

Prior to using vBulletin-Blog I was using Wordpress with the SEO add-in. I found that when I created a new blog, it would be indexed by Google and within a matter of minutes was searchable by Google.

Does anyone know why I am not getting the same performance with vBulletin/vbSEO?

Is there anything I can check to find out what might be going wrong?

You have installed vBSEO since couple of days, Search engines doesn't take the effect immediately it will take some more time to take the new changes in your forum, You need only to be patient and make sure that you have included vBulletin Blogs in your sitemap from vbseo sitemap settings.

I would normally agree with you but I have experienced very fast response to postings with WordPress for over one year now.

I have looked at the VBulletin SEO Sitemap Reports and there are a couple of worrying things:

1) The "Submit Yahoo Sitemap" option generates an error from Yahoo:

Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found on Yahoo! Search

Showing related results for: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html/free/request/

Is this a setup problem or does VBSEO need fixing?

2) Google Webmaster Tools is setup to read a separate sitemap file for my site, generated by Actinic, The stores ECommerce software. Do I need to setup a separate sitemap file for the VBSEO sitemap? If so, wil Google accept more than one sitemap file for a single site?

3) The "Google Sitemap FAQ" option does not work (Google reports a page error)

4) Looking at the links to the generated sitemap files in the Sitemap Generator History I get file not found messages for each of the three sitemap files. Maybe this is why Google is not picking them up?

I really ned your help. My confidence is really low at the moment.

Having done some more research I discovered that I had requested that the sitemap files be placed in the root directory but had not modified the .htaccess file.

I then reverted back to the default directory and now I can access the generated files.

I will now see if Google etc picks up the contents of the files!

I have checked your forum and I found that you are using vBSEO 2.5 on vb4, You should use 2.6 to get your sitemaps working correctly with vb4, 2.5 is only for vb3 and 2.6 only for vb4
You should un-install 2.5 and install 2.6 you can download it from your downloads area.
