Where should google and yahoo download it from

Well Currently I Tell yahoo to download it from

    http://www.mysite.com/forums/vbseo_s...sitemap.txt.gz

However when I'm in vbseo_sitemap and I click on Show Reports List
and then 'View Details' and then it shows

    Sitemap Files Index File sitemap_index.xml.gz Sitemap File #1 sitemap_1.xml.gz (45,000 URLs, 304.37Kb) 8,306.08Kb uncompressed Sitemap File #2 sitemap_2.xml.gz (45,000 URLs, 320.90Kb) 8,403.36Kb uncompressed Sitemap File #3 sitemap_3.xml.gz (17,496 URLs, 112.21Kb) 3,251.82Kb uncompressed Text Format File sitemap.txt.gz (618.46Kb)

Well the locations for all of the above files say they are in

    http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap.txt.gz
    http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap_3.xml.gz
    http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap_2.xml.gz
    http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap_1.xml.gz
    http://www.mysite.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz

But when I view the files from my ftp There are none of the above in that locations.

    They should be in

    http://www.mysite.com/forums/vbseo_sitemap/data/....

    Is this a problem?

and What Should I be submitting to google, yahoo, and what other search engines Should I submit these sitemaps too?

    Thanks

The .htaccess rule makes them appear to exist in your forums directory, which is where they need to be pulled from. Sounds like your setup is fine.

    1. Which of the sitemaps from the folder data should I be giving to yahoo?

    2. Also, what other search engines Should I submit the sitemaps to?

    3. and lastly, The google sitemap page for my site, am I meant to add sitemaps to that at all? It says they need to be in the highest level possible, and currently I have no sitemaps added. Which Ones should I add and where Should I tell them to look?

    Thanks

    1. Yahoo gets the text one only.
    2. Any/all that will accept that format.
    3. If you aren't including any URLs in your sitemap file that aren't under your forums directory, then you're fine leaving it as is.
