Smile What happens to vB's default sitemap generator when I install vBSEO sitemap generator?

    Hello,

I've installed vBSEO sitemap generator (latest beta) and wondering what happens to vB's default sitemap generator. Is there a way to disable the default sitemap generator?

Also, I've so many page not found errors that have sprung up in Google Webmaster Tools after upgrade; it looks like they are shrinking (from 17k to 14k). Is it because of the sitemap generator?

    Hello,

yes, you should disable and delete any files created from the vb sitemap generator when using vbseo and use vbseo sitemap 2.6 beta 2.

    Hello Kaustubh,

You will need first to make sure you have disabled vBulletin's generator Admincp > vBulletin settings > XML Sitemap > Enable Automatic Sitemap Generation "NO"
Then Install vBSEO Sitemap generator and generate the sitemap then submit it to Google.

vbseo's sitemap files are IN the /vbseo_sitemap folder and look something like "sitemap_xxxx.xml.gz"
vB's sitemap files are usually located in your forum root and look something like "vbulletin_sitemap_x.xml.gz"
