I have submitted my sitemap successfully, however the status of the sitemap on the dashboard is a triangle with an !

When i click on the sitemap, google shows no errors through. What am I missing here??

If you hover over the image, does it say anything? I am not sure what exactly that error means.

That does not answer the question. If you place your mouse over the image, does text popup?

no, nothing shows up when the mouse is over it.

Is there someone I can talk with on the phone that can help we me critiquing my current settings?

We do not have a phone service currently. When you generate your sitemap from your admincp does it complete and link you back to the main page of the sitemap generator?

just ran it again and these are the last 3 lines of the process:

[create sitemap file] filename: sitemap_1.xml.gz, number of urls: 258 [4,781.0Kb mem used] [0s (+0s)]
[create sitemap in text format] part #1 [4,781.0Kb mem used] [0s (+0s)]
[create sitemap index] filename: sitemap_index.xml.gz, number of sitemaps: 1 [4,781.2Kb mem used] [0s (+0s)]

there is not a link at the end
