Verifying your vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator is Installed Correctly

I set max files to 20000

But the error on the sitemap is...

sitemap_1.xml.gz Errors Sitemap Feb 21, 2010 50,000 24,685

I can't see how setting it to 20000 is still taking 50,000.

Yes I have deleted all files from the data directory numerous times and the file size of the site map is 249.5 KB.

I can't see that there would be anything wrong. Using the old VBSEO Sitemap generator I used to submit 50,000 with no problems

Shouldn't my seperate sitemaps be located in a folder?

All of your sitemap files are loading correct for me .

Sitemap files are normally stored in vbseo_sitemap/data folder

HAve you submitted files seperately to the webmasters area?

You should only submit sitemap_index.xml.gz

I am only submitting the one stated above but the problem is the first sitemap within that....

When is google showing that it last downloaded the http://www.estetica-design-forum.com/sitemap_1.xml.gz file, is it since you deleted all the files and regenerated? It may be that there was a problem but it will show the error until google attempt to redownload it.

It's still showing an old date, it just refuses to take the new version. I even deleted my profile for the site and added it again

Does vbseo offer a service to install sitemaps, etc?

I checked the available sitemaps for download and they're only up to vB 3.8.x, and nothing for 4.0.x. Is that true or am i looking in the wrong places? I did check both vb.org, and vb.com, and none have sitemaps for vB4.0

You can download the sitemap 2.6 here for vB 4 support.

As for an installation just for that, we do not have a service for that.

sitemap install is included with our vbseo installation service.

sitemap 2.6 beta is available in the downloads area here for vb4.

Yes this is what you are meant to get, Google downloads and stores a record of that but your browser doesn't need to what you see is correct.

You will need to use sitemap generator 2.6 it's available for all customers via downloads area, I've checked your forum now and you are using vb4 and sitemap generator 2.5 which sure will give you database error.
