Yes we have a newer version of the Sitemap generator being Developed and QA'd at the moment, we expect to release it shortly after 3.5 goes gold as currently all developement time is concentrated on getting 3.5 ready for release.

We do have a Beta of Sitemap Generator 2.6 available on request if you would like to use it now, however there is currently no CMS support and a current bug means you must exclude members pages & albums.

If you are interested in getting the Beta please PM Brain

The CMS should be working in the latest version that was just released today. (I am about to test it, but I need to upgrade my RC2 to RC4.)

By this you mean the CMS it self or vbseo and sitemap compatibility with the CMS?

Well in the previous release, we had a redirect loop issue. This seems to be fixed with the latest. I do not know about the sitemap generator yet. (Have yet to test it)

Should i wait for the vBSEO update of sitemaps or go with the non-working version of vB 4. This vB 4 is driving me completely nuts

I would wait until the next version of the sitemap generator. It is still having some issues.

if you use vbseo, vb's built in generator will not be able to 'know' what your urls are. You must use our product. 2.6 sitemap is in early beta, and is available by pm request to me. It does have several bugs already reported. An update (2.6 beta2?) will be released soon. We are working hard on vbseo rc2 and the sitemap is taking a back burner to that development.
