URLs NOT Found - Google Warnings

Hello,

I just checked my google webmaster tools account for my site Tons of softball drills, softball tips, and advice on softball hitting, softball pitching, coaching softball, softball training, and more. and I had ''warnings' in red listed next to my site name.

As I access the site details, 100 URLs were not found (404 errors) and they are all this kind of links:

http://www.discussfastpitch.com/1007-post4.html

They also list 23 Errors for URLs in sitemap for URLS that looks like the one above and like this one too:

http://www.discussfastpitch.com/show...07&postcount=4

What does this mean? Does it have to do with settings in VBSEO? Is that a big problem?

What should I do? Remove the pages from google using the removal feature in webmaster tools? (That would take a long time with 100+ URLS).

Pleas advise.

those are showpost urls. do you have showpost enabled? if not, it is correct to 404. eventually they will be removed from the index.

I am not too technical so I went into the VBSEO CP and look for showpost URLS....

What I could find is this...

Add Thread Titles to Showpost Links Anchor Text?
Same link replacements as above but for showpost URLs.

And it is under "yes". So I guess it is enabled.

Is that a problem? Should I turn it off. Please let me know what I should do to avoid problems with indexing.

I finally turned it off... disabled.

Is that a good thing to do?

yes. showpost is a waste IMO. (as is printthread, hybrid mode, and the archive)
