The amount of indexed urls depends on alot of factor. Your server capacity, your domain trust rank, the content quality. And it's also flapping at some periods. You see today 10k indexed 2 weeks later it can become 40k. You can better follow these flapping s by checking other forums indexing. I follow 3 other forums and first A forum gets lower or increases than start B and some times they up and down together. But i can shortly tell you the easiest way to increase indexes to get a lot more new fresh backlinks from high quality websites. It helps alot to deeper crawling.

Did you change any settings? The numbers shouldn't change just from upgrade to 3.0.

check your report details to find the +xxxxx area on the first time you ran 3.0

Thanks Webmastersitesi, I thought it very strange that it happened right after the upgrade

Are continuing to decrease URLs indexed by Google.
The situation at this moment is:
    74,000 URLs submitted
    9,600 URLs indexed

The access to my site are growing and threads are increasing, the situation has been declining ever since I installed the new vBSEO maybe a coincidence.

    As always many thanks

I suspect there maybe duplicate content problem on yoursite. Please make sure to check site:yourname.com or site:::: YOURNAME.COM ::: and if there are alot difference between two we can suspect from a duplicate content issue.

Also if your content is not good enough and have some high bounce rate. Then, you should gather more content and well design again your forum. If you can tell your forum url, i can better check. Backlinks are most important factor for deeper crawl and high index rate. And you should compare it with your other relative forums before you can be sure at the same time

I checked your site. You have good standing with search engines. The problem like i said. You have alot of very similar urls and content. As a result of this presentation your similar (duplicate) indexes deleted. So use an 301 redirect for all non www urls to www ones. so a visitor come or link to Hardware.it -> should be redirected Hardware.it for all your content pages.

Also I agree brian advice. You should reorganize your main url structure on that tutorial. And please aplly it soonest time.

Because when i check your main page it shows hardwaregame.it at cache:hardwaregame.it
but as an actual visitor it redirects me two subdirectory deep /forum/content/ your main content forum and forum threads are 3 level deep for the search engine. So they have not got enough seo juice coming from homepage. Get the idea?

Also there are many urls which is similar to each others HardwareGame - The Next Generation. which is the main cause for duplicate content. checked site:hardwaregame.it the top results are these duplicte urls which has insufficient amount of text inside. I see also many tags used at forum/forum.php. I advice not to use tags at all. Tags can create low quality pages and very similarpages.

Remove tags or lower the usage and make sure forum/downloads.php?do=file&title these links should better SEF looks like
forum/Helen-pictures.html (more content in url) if you can...

HardwareGame - The Next Generation I noticed you have no direct links to threads. So make sure guest can see at theme direct link to final thread. And i advice you to get final threads appear at your home page. This ay they can feed enough from the seo juice at homepage.

After you do these technical settings. You should develop some backlinks. When they are sufficient your indexes will rock before.

I recommend you to check results with google.it com and it results different. Good luck. I hope yopu recover soon.

You handle each time a problem and we move one by one. As before happened, you may ask whenever you have a problem.

My site is structured as follows:
CMS+ Forum files are inside the folder Forum ../forum/ )

I looked at the guide below and linked to the CMS portion is set as a guide, but I did not even know if I follow the settings for the forums with my site structure?

You should set up your CMS home as outlined in:
vBSEO 3.5 Release Candidate 1 is here! - vBulletin SEO Forums
I did not understand what I do to improve the situation Downloads
Remove tags or lower the usage and make sure forum/downloads.php?do=file&title these links should better SEF looks like
forum/Helen-pictures.html (more content in url) if you can...
I requested confirmation in another topic in this moment I can see my htaccess but I think it's just as suggested by Brian
    Redirect 301 my site

I checked your site. You have good standing with search engines. The problem like i said. You have alot of very similar urls and content. Follow the heading in green "/forums (or another folder install)"

    Thanks Brian,
but if I follow this guide: / forums (Or Another folder name) VB4 install
i can not access my CMS? If I w.w.w.hardwaregame.it the browser goes directly to the page in the forum without first going from CMS.

Maybe I use this: Root vb4 install ?
