Sudden drop in"Total URLS" after upgrade

Upgraded from 1.6.1 last night and the report ran twice (forgot to delete the old manual one).

In the reports list, I notice as of the run this morning, there is suddenly a -44,000 deficit (Usually, it's roughly +1000 on each daily run).

What would cause such a huge drop? No settings have changed as far as I can see, and we're not using the full VBSEO product.

I also notice the .htaccess has changed? (It's different to what we have installed).

We had this line

Quote:
RewriteRule ^(sitemap.*\.(xml\.gz|txt))$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]
But it seems to be now :

Quote:
RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

Thoughts?

Do you have some forums set to be private? (ie, not accessible by guests)

It looks like you had URLs from non-public subforums included in sitemap earlier and current version excludes them.

I thought that. There are a few staff forums, but the total of threads/posts etc that have dropped arent indicative of the total that are there.

The forum numbers to exclude were definitely in the options before the upgrade, as I noted them down, and theyre the same, post-upgrade.

Unless the previous version (1.6.1) wasn't excluding them for some reason?
(I'll delve into one of the old reports and cross reference some URL's to check).

That's the only thing I can think of.

Thanks again, for your reply
