Submitting the sitemap

After I generate the sitemap for google, what am I suposed to do then?

Is that it and final? Nothing else is required?
I tried to submit the sitemap to google webmaster but I had a problem.

I couldnt find any documentation on submitting to google and I did read the entire lot. It did say it was automated but didnt give any direction of use after you have generated the sitemap

Create a Google Webmaster account, and submit the URL to your sitemap there. The URL to your sitemap is displayed right on your vBSEO Sitemap menu (http://yourforumurl/vbseo_sitemap/)

Do you submit the index file, the text format file, or each of the sitemap files? I am generating 2 sitemap files (20K URLs, & 7K URLs)

Just the index, as shown on your vBSEO Sitemap main menu.
