    Hi Vinay,

Pagerank is calculated by the pages linking back to the Page in question. To get a higher Pagerank, you need to have pages with a high (or multiple pages with a lower) Pagerank linking back to yours.

The better PR an inbound link has, the more PR will be applied to the Page being linked to.

This said, the better PR your Blog has, if it has links to your Forum, the better PR the Forum will have.

Indeed.. the more outbound links per page, the more PR is 'leaked' .. general consensus is to keep the number of Outbound links per page to an 'acceptable' number.

In many cases, there are going to be a great deal of 'outbound' links - on a vBulletin forumhome for example. In those cases, I personally would prefer to limit the number of extra links.

Regarding the backlinks decreasing issue: Prior to installing vBSEO, many/some of your Inbound Links would have been pointing to the Dynamic pages. After installing vBSEO, these pages would have been replaced with the format you chose.

What are you using to track the Inbound Links?
