Sitemap and vBSEO

Hi there,

I have installed the vBSEO Sitemap tool as well as the vBSEO.
But it looks as if not all URLs are rewritten properly. There are still a lot of URLs that have only the post ID in it.

Total PDA Forums - for TomTom Sat Nav, Smart Phones, PDAs, HP iPAQ - TT5 update - v5.10

If I visit it, it rewrites to Total PDA Forums - for TomTom Sat Nav, Smart Phones, PDAs, HP iPAQ - TT5 update - v5.10

It would be great if someone could help me with this because I believe that this is not good.

Hello Joe ,

Please check vBSEO Sitemap Generator settings within Admincp >> vBulletin Options and disable include old urls setting.

Should I leave "include old urls" enabled for a while, or would you switch it off right now?

When Google spiders the old url's, it gets 301'ed to the new url's so the old url's re removed from Google. Include this option until you note that most old url's have gone from Google.

Leaving it on for a month is the best option for you. After a month you need to manually delete all sitemap files from vbseo_sitemap/data folder and regenerate your sitemaps after disabling that option.
