If you're running vBulletin 3.6.x, vBSEO Sitemap 1.7 (available in the downloads area here) will create the task automatically.

Otherwise, the instructions for manually creating the task are included in the readme.

I am running 3.6.4 with sitemap 1.7 and it's not running automatically.

    How to fix this?

Is there a vBSEO Sitemap task in your scheduled tasks? If not, try reinstalling Sitemap 1.7.

Nope, it's not in the scheduled tasks list. Strange. I'll try to re-install that

Re-download it from here just to make sure you have the latest. Then upload the new files, and import the XML product again (Choosing "Yes" for the Overwrite option.)

Yeah, just checked. You have the older version of 1.7. 1.7RC4 is the latest.

I noticed my .htaccess is different that the new one that comes in the new sitemaps files. Does this matter if I upload it? I was thinking to keep my old one for some reason.

Keep the one that came with vBSEO. It already has the sitemap rules in it.
