Sitemap Questions - URLs not Found

    Hello,

I am running Sitemap 2.6 and my Number of URLs, which are not found ist increasing...

    Submitted: 16.660
    Not found: 11.545
    Indexed URLs: 824

I had always around 800 URLs indexed, since the beginning. It was never getting more Indexed, but now including "Not Found" Errors for Private Forums and very old URLs. Why ist that?

I submit only Show Threads and Forumdisplay and did not make any changes in URL Settings or Forums.

Private forums should not be included in the sitemap by default. If they are, there may be a permission set up that the sitemap overlooks. You should add those forum IDs to the sitemap options page for Excluded forums. However, the Old Urls should present a not found error.... They just haven't dropped out of their index yet.

To be sure your sitemap is clean, make sure you are running the latest build for your version (2.5 for vbseo 3.3.x) and then delete all xml.gz files in the data/ folder and re-run manually. Then, resubmit manually to the webmasters area.

Before, i had added the forum IDs, and they were also indexed. But i never had these many Errors before, so i was wondering. So, i will switch back to the stable 2.5 again?

sitemap 2.6 is for vb4. If you're on vb3.x still, you should be using sitemap 2.5
