Sitemap for online store portion of forum site

I now have a store and would like to utilize the automatic sitemap generator found in the cart's features. I have enabled it but don't quite know enough to be dangerous.

longrangehunting.com/gearshop

vs

longrangehunting.com/forums

Does the VBSEO sitemap generator already include any subdirectories such as the store above?

Will Google find my store's sitemap by itself?

The sitemap generator will NOT include other pages unless you tell it to do so.

Using the cart's built in functionality is probably the best thing to do. I would simply make a new webmaster line-item in google for /gearshop and submit the sitemap to that folder.
